Races in Lake Worth: Cupcake for a Cause 5k

Running in a 5K is an incredible experience. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or someone looking to get into better shape, signing up for a 5K is a great decision. And signing up for one that is for a good cause is an even better decision. Learn about one of the exciting races in Lake Worth and who it benefits.

Cupcake for a Cause

On September 7, the Cupcake for a Cause 5K race will take place in John Prince Park. Participants can run or walk the course at 7am. At 8:30, children 16 and younger can begin the race.

There is a registration fee, but it goes to a good cause. All of the profits of the race will go towards Place of Hope. The organization focuses on ending child abuse, homelessness, and human trafficking. Since opening their doors, the organization has helped over 11,000 people. Each day, they take care of 340 kids and families.

With your registration, you receive a race shirt. You also get a medal for finishing the race and a cupcake. Awards will be issued for the top finishers, as well as for the best cupcake costume.

You can sign up for the race online and pick up your packet at the Runner’s Edge starting on August 31.
